About the Collection
Open the cabinet.
Inside, you might find a bottle of something strange, a dried flower tucked between old pages, berries staining a gathering basket purple, the iridescent flash of an insect wing, a peculiar stone picked up along a path, or some tiny curiosity that was simply too beautiful to forget.
Cabinet of Curiosities is a collection of handcrafted lip glosses inspired by the unusual, beautiful, botanical, mysterious, and wonderfully strange things that capture my attention.
Unlike my enchanted cosmetic collections, these glosses are not created for a specific magical intention or working.
Unlike my tribute shades, they don't necessarily belong to someone else's story.
And unlike Pages From My Grimoire, they don't have to represent a chapter of my own.
Sometimes I simply see a color and think: that needs to be a lip gloss.
And that's exactly what this collection is for.
A Note From the Maker
I've always been a collector of interesting things.
Plants. Stories. Colors. Symbols. Objects. Bits of nature. Things with histories. Things that simply make me wonder.
Cabinet of Curiosities gives that part of me somewhere to play.
Not every product I create needs to carry a working.
Not every color needs to represent a memory.
Not every beautiful thing needs to become something deeper than what first made me love it.
Sometimes curiosity is enough.
So when something catches my eye and I can't stop thinking about its color...
into the cabinet it goes.
And eventually, it may find its way onto your lips.
Cabinet of Curiosities is my place to play
A color laboratory.
A collector's drawer.
A little shelf of oddities translated into pigment, shimmer, and shine.
Each shade begins with a curiosity.
It might come from:
Botanicals & flowers
The bruised purple of petals, the impossible red of a blossom, the green hiding beneath a leaf.
Fruits & berries
Juicy stains, dark skins, translucent flesh, and colors that change as fruit ripens.
The natural world
Beetle wings, feathers, shells, stones, sunsets, mushrooms, forests, and whatever else makes me stop for a second look.
Folklore & the strange
Odd little stories, peculiar creatures, old superstitions, mysterious objects, and things that feel like they belong behind the glass of an old curiosity cabinet.
Or simply color itself.
Because sometimes there doesn't need to be a deeper reason.
Sometimes something is just beautifully strange.
